I built my first project — a cat that meowed when you clicked it — in Primary 3. I did not think of it as programming. I thought of it as making something respond to me.
Eleven years later I am paid to tell a model when its answer is wrong, in a much more complicated way, but the underlying skill is the same one I built with that cat: deciding, precisely, what counts as correct.
That is the through-line DataDemy is built around, and it is why the earliest years matter as much as the last ones.
